Look at our homepage. Now back to us.

Do you prefer the old homepage or the new one? Pirates or Ninjas? Waffles or Muffins? Tell us why!

The old look was better! A bunch of clip art of pretty girls really doesn’t say, “Korea” to me. I have lived in Korea for 6 years and have been a member of this site for about 4…I think. The old look and feel was very unique to this site…it feels a bit more commercial every time you make a change….just my opinion.

I agree with Jeff 100%. The old look had more character. Now, it just feels generic and commercial. So much about the older koreanclass101.com was much better than now. I wish you guys the best, but it is kind of sad watching this site become so generic feeling.

Like Jeff said, the old look was unique to this site and the new one feels more commercial. I don’t think it’s as aesthetically pleasing as the old one either.

I’ve been checking into the other languages sites you folks offer since I’ve been thinking about adding another language subscription. I looked at several and every one had a young female giving the introductory ad. Common guys! Your target audience is people who want to learn a foreign language. If we feel the need to look at pretty, young women we can just turn on the t.v. Also, as a female myself, you aren’t making any points with me.

Here’s another thought: what if you give each language site a different look–something that says “Russian” or “Chinese!” or “Arabic”, (like the first of the two pictures above-really says Korean). This is the kind of strategy that works on language geeks and travel types who are most likely the majority of your customers. Maybe you could even put a few pictures of old people and children on each home page to make sure that everybody feels welcome. Then just have some sort of common element on every page so people can tell that it’s all the same company.

By the way, I think you guys are mostly doing great. I recommend you when I hear about someone interested in learning a foreign language. So, please stop chasing after the slick, and continue with the quality. You won’t lose there.
