태군
Wednesday, January 21st, 2009Last week a new artist debuted and since I quite liked the song, I thought I’d share the MV of it with you all. The artist’s name is 태군 (Taegoon), and it looks like he’s going to be leaning towards the dance/R&B style of pop that’s pretty popular right now. This song is called Call Me, and it’s not all that amazing, it’s pretty standard fare but I quite liked it anyway:
The rather emotionless/possibly robot guy with a gun is 김재중 of 동방신기. I found it a rather random appearance! Apparently the two are friends, and 김재중 was helping to pimp his friend’s debut out a bit.
태군’s dance style actually reminds me quite a bit of 비, even some of the scenes remind me a lot of 비’s MVs. Anyone here familiar with 비 and thinks the same? A few of the scenes brought back memories of Sad Tango, and 태양을 피하는 방법 (my favourite 비 song, by the way).
I think though that I’ve overdosed a bit on the pop scene lately. This girl needs her hiphop fix, so you can expect to see some of that next week.

I first listened to this song last week and I couldnt stop listening to it! The techno beat is really addictive.
Hero from 동방신기! Haha well the somewhat geeky dance is stuck in my head…
I also like the song 태양을 피하는 방법….but when one of the 동방신기 members sang it…I’m not that much a fan of 비.

I’m not really 비의 팬 but I thought 태군 reminded me of 세븐 [화이팅 in 미국!] ^^ I have to say, the “call me” move is great ㅎㅎ What an addictive song!
태군 화이팅! I hope he does well and doesn’t fade off into the nonexistence like so many other boybands T_T (초신성, 타키온, R-eal….)

I really like this guy for some reason. His dancing isn’t sub-par at all, and he has a good voice. He’s not bad looking, either! He is VERY much like 비, but it’s worth it to check out the other songs on his mini-album. My favorite is One Two Step, and Hands Up is good too. I also hope he does well (I’m still mourning the loss of A’st1, what happened to them!? ㅠㅠ). From what I know, 재중 is his childhood friend, and they grew up in the same town. That’s why, even though he was busy, he made an appearance in 태군의 MV to kind of…help him out? Haha. 재중 IS quite popular.
Interesting seeing him with a gun and a kind of ‘bad boy’ persona.
